Most people will just assume your Rolex is a fake. Rolex has dropped the ball with the way they do business. Very flaky company.
Wow, can’t even tell the time at the Daytona compare to the Speedmaster. Give the Daytona to the posers.
It’s not “SHEER-uh”, it’s “shi-RAH”, as in rah, rah, rah! Jeez, how could someone who was so famous have his name positively mangled by so many European YouTube reviewers? Honestly!
I have both and love both. The speedmaster is a strap monster. Two of the best chronos in the biz

As an investment I say both are a tie. IF you can get a Daytona at retail and sell it. You will make some money off it (only if you sell it, it’s worth what they say). Since the used after market value is double. At this time it’s a good investment. Again if you can get one at retail. The Speedy is affordable therefore you will have money to save or money you didn’t need to spend because the Speedy is priced accordingly. Both great investments, one will save you money. The other can get you a nice profit.
We should throw in the Parnis IN THE RING FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY. Parnis has a Daytona Homage
I’ve had both and got rid of the Speedy because winding it was a pain, literally. The crown was sharp and awkward and I ended up taking the skin off my finger and thumb. I’ve just got the 50 year Apollo anniversary model and that is still a pain but I love the look of the watch. My Daytona is a 116520, white dial which I prefer over the hesolite Speedy but I’d be hard pressed to choose between that and an automatic Speedy.
If you ask Astronauts which they would want…they would pick the Daytona.
Haha…you admitted you were biased….tough call….both watches a beautiful….I am slightly turned off by the Rolex bubble….I would definitely get a speedy over a Daytona!
