Love how even back in the 90’s Omega was finding ways to show more information on each subdial – similar to how they do with the hours/minutes on the 9300/9900’s on the modern Speedys, and the lume color on that dial is just amazing. Great video 👍🏼

Excellent watch and review. I’d recommend a sturdy toothpick (Japanese tootchpicks are sturdy) for pressing that left button.
Great video about a great little watch. If the Speedy Pro was the watch for astronauts, the MK40 would probably be the one for the mission controllers. It shows you everything you need while you are locked away from daylight for hours or maybe days focused on your screens and the mission progress.
I love the design of the Speedy Pro but it was kind of too simple for me. No date, no hacking seconds (how was that no requirement by NASA?!?) nothing but time and chronograph. And the MK40 really packs a punch with all its complications. Especially considering its size. I had to have one. Found a very good example 2 years ago and it will never leave my collection again.
Mine seems to have Luminova dial and hands I think. Do you know if those are service parts, or was the MK40 also produced with Luminova and not only Tritium?

Thanks for featuring this watch brother. As you know I own the Ref#3511 (reverse panda) and I absolutely love it and think is so undervalued because it’s not the “moon watch”. Your channel keeps getting better and better!
