You get the reduced for really two reasons: smaller size and automatic winding. Really that’s all you need from there.
Any thoughts on the brown dial version that was made for approximately 7 years? I think it looks unique does anyone know why it was discontinued?
I went with reduced because of my smaller, female wrist size.
Speedmaster Reduced is really complicated to service with its chronograph module, I would not recommend it to anyone. The automatic movement is not an integrated chronograph caliber, any timepiece with 7750 is the best way for someone to own an automatic chronograph unless one can afford a Daytona, El Primero or a Breitling B01.
do you know if there are reduced Day Date ?
I must be the only one that prefers more spaced out sub dials, within reason.
But often, cheapo watches have movements that are small quartz things that fit into various sized cases. Some giant fashion watch with chrono dials in the middle.
The dials on the Reduced hardly intrude on indices, and even the 5 minute markers are uninterrupted, which I don’t think they get any credit for. It’s a low key detail.
Whether this design cue of the sub spacing were in either model, I would prefer the more spaced out look of the Reduced. I just think thos same proportions would look better on the Pro too.
My Dad wore an Omega. I have always wanted one. As a baby boomer growing up with James Bond’s Rolex image, I have always been surprised that was a bigger image than the Omega worn by Astronaut heroes.
