I chose the 1861. It’s perfect
I do prefer the 1861 hesalite. That flatter grey dial really makes the bright white hands pop.. Also love the more busy mili seconds track… and mine is on straps anyway, so I don’t see the new bracelet as a factor…. and the movement was used in space for years…. The price is great too. It’s still a relative bargain… yes the new one has great features too….(let’s not mention sharp edges!)…but the 1861 is the one for me
