Love Omega but this leaves a sour taste for the brand. They clearly geared this for the stupid ultra rich, emphasis on stupid. Hopefully some of the profit from it goes to future r&d projects
So many nice watches could be purchased for that price. One could buy a variety of Omega Speedmasters, Seamasters, Planet Oceans, Aqua Terras, Globebmasters, vintage pie pans and still have money left over to buy their wife one

This is the exact speedy I’ve always wanted, except for the expensive materials and that insane price. I suspect many of us, myself included, would take a lesser-spec’d version of this at or slightly above the standard speedy pro price. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the way Omega is operating these days. The ghastly Speedmaster 38 is what mere mortals get stuck with. Personally, I’ll stick with my speedy reduced for now.
