Congrats. The Speedy is never a bad choice. Yes, everybody who’s into watches maybe own this piece, but it’s part of the important history of humanity for better or worse.
I am also thinking adding one as it is for me the ultimate chronograph, besides the Navitimer. Plus I am a big space nerd, watch nerd and have a thing for toolish watches and I dig his mature looks.
One thing I would disagree though, the Speedmaster has the most iconic look when paired with the official NASA Velcro strap. It can be found around the webs and even though the bracelet is nice (SMP level of nice) – a NATO strap or any kind of textile strap only compliments the Speedy and nothing looks out of order. Keep being awesome, I love your grounded and humble attitude.

Sto se mojeg iskustva tiče, obožavam svoj Speedmaster… to je sat kojeg najradije nosim, čim ga stavim na ruku osjećam kao da je prirastao toj ruci. Nikakvo vrijeme privikavanja nije potrebno… ❤ Speedmaster

It’s a beautiful watch. Definitely a grail for me as I collect watches associated with space exploration. I have a 33mm Sturmanskie, 2 Poljot Strela in black and white respectively. I have a Bulova Lunar Pilot which I’m looking to exchange for the 43mm version. After that, I’m looking for a true Seiko Pogue, a Fortis B42 Cosmonaut, a Sinn 140/142, G shock DW5600, Breitling Cosmonaut and the speedy as the crown Jewel.

Congratulations, enjoy it in good health. I bought this Omega (solid case back and hesalite crystal) last year and I’m very happy.
