Does Torbjorn need another set of buffs/changes or is he struggling just because of the meta?
Why don’t they buff torb and sym at higher ranks? Increase the damage / toughness of turret for example above a certain SR

Lol he IS Overwatch League viable. He just has a bad reputation because they see his turret as a sign that he’s for “noobs.” These “pros” never bothered to learn turret positioning and just trash a character they spent less than 5 minutes playing.
When he becomes meta people will say something along the lines of “hes op and takes no skill. Completely broken doesn’t belong in the game Bliz pls delete”
Imo turrets are a mistake, period.

What’s wrong with Symmetra/
I feel like bringing his lv3 turret should come back, but as his old lv2 turret gimmick. Yeah, the change was due to the feast or famine problem that came with needing to build up a turret, but if the initial lv1 turret was as good as it is now and all a lv2 building brought was the rockets for potential damage and some more turret health, it could work as a much better area denial tool for slow and close-range heros, like Reaper and Bridgette; while still being weak to snipers and high burst damage characters like Pharah and Junkrat, without being too limiting at lv1. It would also be interesting to have his shotgun become his left-click and right-click becomes a targeting system (like Zenyatta’s Discord Orb) that instantly has to turret target opponents rather than needing to hit them with a less-than-ideal gun, maybe with a 5 second cooldown. I’ve also advocated that, as a builder, he should have some other machines he can build besides a turret (jump pads, healing stations, enemy traps, etc.), but as a damage class, that may be something for a builder support class.
Ive been a torb main since season 1 and have over 2k hours on him alone. I use to be a one trick but torb has always been a pretty weak pick even if youre good at him. Hes never really fit into a meta and his kit has never been that strong. The only time i can really think of him being viable was right after his rework which was in part due to him having new mechanics, and doomfist was super meta then which can be counter by a decent torb. Torb has decent 1v1 potential if you can hit your shots, but fitting into a team comp is near impossible unless your team plays around you, and at that point you should just play bastion since hes way better at dealing high dmg quickly. Id love to see him reworked again but i also dont think it will help unless the meta supports him. 2/2/2 might make it possible but this torb main has kinda lost hope already and just sticks to arcade mode lol.
the shotgun need to cost 2 ammo. They nerfed the shotgun damage but you have only 6 shots with it , and they only do 100 hp damage.
Make his Molten Core stick to enemies when they get hit with it
Molten Core should be an ability.👌
Maybe the Torb turret’s rate of fire can be increased when a shield is in its line of sight
