I don’t understand. If you think there should be more defensive options in Street Fighter why do you want to make it more obvious which of these options I’m employing after you deck me? Oooooooh. He *doesn’t* want me to have more defensive options! Hmmp. Typical Dogura. He doesn’t want me to be able to block nuffin!! xD I honestly thought he would *dominate* DBZ. Dat Go1 though! I totally disagree with your assumption that offense should be stronger than defense do you can I have the greatest offense in the world but if people can get in hits on you and go through your offense then it does not matter how great your offenses having a balanced approach and being equally good at being a defensive player and offensive offenseplayer is a big deal
Make the attacks like Tekken where you can visually confirm counter attacks
I mean it sounds good on paper if you want to rid the game of defense further but why do things that will further cripple mechanics thats lacking already. Do we want marvel or sf? Its unfortunate ppl follow anything pro players say without generalizing what the game is before these suggestions.

In my opinion: depends too much on reading opponent so you can lab like mad and still lose to some basic sh*t. But on the plus side, fundamentals for days. In SF4, I always felt like I was at a disadvantage because I sucked at fadc and link combos because of shaky fingers.
Miss timing meaties is one of the most frustrating things in sfv. For example, I score a knockdown in the corner so I get guaranteed oki. I’m at +7 after their quick rise and +12 after their back tech. My quickest attack, standing lp, has a 12 frame animation. This means I can’t use it to fill time, so I have to manually do the meaties. The best options is my medium attack that starts in 6 frames then. I can mash the medium attack because of the active frames to get a meaty after a neutral tech and that is the only guaranteed option. I have to delay normal throw by ~2 frames to grab a neutral tech, delay my medium attack by ~6 frames for a back tech (or try to react with a heavy meaty instead), and delay my throw by ~7 frames to throw a back tech. It’s incredibly annoying that this can all be beaten by mashing a light if my timing is off by milliseconds. Seriously screw oki in sfv.
I respectfully disagree with the logic that offense should be rewarded because it’s a “fighting game” that’s like saying a boxer should have 0 defense because it’s a fight. I liked SF4 because you were rewarded for good defensive play AND good offensive play. Sfv it honestly feels like you get punished for playing defensively.
How do people think about him saying offense should be rewarded more than defense in a fighting game? At first i thought they should be equal but on second thought I kinda get where he’s coming from.
now we need low tier god telling us about good and bad Street Fighter 4 & 5.

My only gripe is that a monkey with a wrench can jump in and score a simple 280 damage combo and its much harder to DP anti air the monkey….anti airs should be higher damage and riskier to the jumper
It’s hard to not consider this as taking away one of the very few minuscule defensive options that a player has left. Absolutely not taking anything away from his opinion because he is a very respectable, accomplished gamer who is better than I will ever be. However, my biggest qualm with the game is the lack of defensive options, so someone expressing a concern that limits one’s ability to be more effective offensively makes me think, “can we have ANYthing on the defensive side left?” LOL That’s why I just say, throw in Makoto, make her OP and just have the game be one big imbalanced offensive mess. LOL
….but absolutely nothing against people who enjoy the game. I’m really happy for you all and hope you enjoy the remainder of the game’s life.
Im fairly new to SFV and this is definitely something I picked up on. There is a serious lack of consistent oki and its kinda annoying
