do not disturbed sign on?
Firstly I want to thank you for pointing this out to Western fans as I know that if they don’t follow the incident they might just read an article titled: “CV Max Suspended indefinitely due to physical abuse”
I apologize for any typos or grammar errors and the long post but this incident has really upset me and I want to let a lot of people know what’s going on in the Korean community
The following statements are based on statements from CVMAX, Griffin (players, coaches, and ex-players), Streamers(such as ex-LCK pros)
Things that don’t make sense:
They only went after CV MAX after he talked about the team’s violations (Kanabi’s unfair contract etc): If there was a problem in which the players were feeling unsafe or abused they would have reported him either during the season or even right after they FIRED HIM’
During Sword’s interview, the members mention they are there to clear Sword’s name yet the interview focuses more around CV MAX’s “VIOLENCE”; if they wanted to clear Sword’s name they have no need to be heavily focused on the villainizing of CV.
Everyone except Sword in the interview claim they have never experienced the abuse but were bystanders. (The people who received the abuse Chovvy, Doran, etc are not acting on the “violence”).
RIOT Korea did not listen to CV MAX’s side of the story. They claim the victim’s story is all they need despite CV MAX coming out to say he’s willing to talk about it to come to the truth.
THE ONLY EVIDENCE THEY HAVE IS REPORTS FROM PLAYERS OR GRIFFIN STAFF
Chovvy (who apparently received the most ‘abuse’) and parents have said they appreciate CV MAX’s ways as he managed to get a player who was in grandmaster Cassiopea one trick to one of the best mid laners in LCK. Even Doran who was the other person CV stated was hard on (he cried during the split yet carried the next game after CV pointing out his mistakes)
Any pro-player/ex-griffin members who hear of this all say they don’t understand why CV has to be punished his methods may have been extreme but they worked (he took a Challengers Korea team and promoted them to LCK then in the same season got them to the finals then after they came 2nd 3 times in a row) and all ex-griffin members agree that while the ‘abuse’ happened most were laughing.
CV Max clearly told all members to let him know if the way he does reviews is extreme or uncomfortable (Tarzan messaged CV asking him to be harsher as he feels he is lacking, yet in the interview he claimed it never happened to him but he would have been scared if it did). Sword did tell CV that he was uncomfortable in which CV stopped this method with Sword straight after.
Sword was the only player who refused to talk to CV in the whole time CV was revealing the truth with the team. CV offered to help clear things up as he wants both sides of the story, Sword just blocked him as well as his parents.
I have been a huge league fan and LCK fan since season 3 but my server is in OCE however seeing RIOT not taking action towards RIOT Korea is very heartbreaking and has put me off league entirely.
CV came out-right to say he may have done actions that can be ‘violent’ punching the back of a player’s chair etc.
League of Legends has an esports GPI(Global Penalty Index) here it states that acts on extreme misconduct such as physical violence is stated at a minimum of 3 competitive months and maximum of 10 competitive months (Granted this may be for a single instance; however, what evidence is there to support how many times it happened and how that accumulates to an ETERNAL Suspension)
https://esports-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/production/files/rules/Esports_Global_Penalty_Index.pdf
TLDR:
All non-griffin individuals are siding with CV due to unfair investigation/decision
No real evidence to support RIOT’s decision other than Sword’s statements (which CV has rebutted)
Kanabi’s incident is being ignored by the media and RIOT Korea
FINAL POINT: Even if we assume CV MAX did abuse players physically and verbally it is weird how he is suspended indefinitely and the org who tried to sell an underage player with no legal protection only receives an $85k fine when that is only equivalent to a one-year salary for pro-players. If RIOT honestly banned CV fairly it makes sense that Griffin and their team/org should be receiving a heavier penalty than that fine. RIOT’s response to the Kanabi incident is that it’s out of their hands and that it will be left to the prosecutors.
*P.S currently there is a petition on the Korean Government’s home page requesting that they re-investigate this issue which 153,787 people have applied for. I think the petition is open for anyone so I’ll leave the link here (might want to run chrome’s translator if you can’t read Korean)

If there are any mistakes in my comment please point them out to me and I will be happy to change them
So Griffin choking at finals is because Cv Max choking them? Xd
Sword is afraid to speak about cvmax but not afraid when bullying Doran so he can play? What a ugly ass bitch. Not even a good player.
Typical corrupted korean drama bullshit. Man, I feel so bad for CvMax. Gifted Korean players should leave that shithole of a country and move to other teams overseas.
Unban Cvmax or no more league
Get your facts straight and do not spread false information about CvMax. I’m disappointed in Riot and I’m leaving this game forever until they unban CvMax.
This motherfucker with his dumbass energy and dumbass way of speaking yet again? fuck my life
This video draws conclusions from incomplete information. Recent updates on cvMax’s defense and formar GRF players speaking out against abuse allegations, on top of the newly leaked contract clauses from GRF tell a different story.
yea partial information give here … dig further vvv
“The results have been shocking,” Ha said in a reaction to the Riot ruling, translated by ESPN. “Not only Cho, but also cvMax, the person who exposed this corruption and absurdity, is also getting indefinitely suspended. This a clear act of revenge toward the whistleblower. Riot, by taking an action of revenge against a whistleblower, may be punished.
“If it wasn’t for cvMax’s courageous act, the case of Kanavi going through slave contract and threats would have gone under the carpet. He is a brave whistleblower. CvMax is someone who should be protected and rewarded, not be punished and be revenged upon.”
Just more league of legends SJW drama. Riot is a company full of virtue signaling soy boy beta cucks, and most of you who play league and the entire community as a whole are a bunch of pussies. Literally, you all lack any sense of manhood. League has become a giant cuck fest.
Riot Korea? More like Rot Korea👎👎👎
How can a video with such little info reached 8 mins?
I’m boycotting Riot until they fix CvMax issue.
I deleted League from all my computers.
It’s ridiculous.
The actual players who were treated harshly (according to the testifiers) claim that they weren’t.
It’s the same thing as Riot punishing toxic players when they can’t even punish the trolls.
The system is messed up and I’m done with this game.
Korea is so pathetic hahaha
The latest statement by Senator Ha stated that Griffin players are not allowed to talk bad about the organization at all. If they did, there are very severe punishment to them. So, I doubt that any of the interviews done by the players are the truth at all. They might be forced to say those things because siding with cvMax (who the organization is fighting against) is the same as going against the organization (Griffin).
League on Lock I have nothing but love for you guys, but get your Korean staff/ friend and check out cvMax’s side of the story straight before misleading more people with one-sided manufactured consent prompted by Still8, Griffin, and Riot Korea.
Forcing a trainee yet to debut into a slave contract by the whole org+Cho Cute Nam is not equal to one coach “abuse” players into improvement in their in-game play/feedback. Massive grassroots Korean community’s consensus is on cvMax’s side so better make follow up video on this later before the Korean community catches up to you guys League on Lock..
cvMax’s “player abuse” is nonsense because cvMax, players, and players’ parents were in agreement that cvMax will be more strict than the conventional head coach. cvMax’s style of coaching gets more intense aka “abuse” players with higher ceilings. Chovy, Lehand, and Doran were most “abused” but had most improvements in their in-game plays, and their parents were most appreciative of cvMax’s coaching.. Sword, on the other hand, was least “abused” and other players like Chovy were complaining that he was too soft on sword. (note: Tarzen didn’t get the chance to be abused because cvMax didn’t feel the need to..) At the end of the day, cvMax’s harshest punishment was to buy them health supplements and order them to eat proper 3 meals every day after their fk ups from in-game feedbacks.
Players in the question of that interview, most notably sword, outright refused to hear cvMax’s and Kanavi’s story 1 on 1 prior to the interview. I’d say, Tarzan and other interviewed people are neither forced into the lie or on Cho Cute Nam’s side.
Cho Cute Nam and higher-ups in Riot Korea org are friends that go way back Starcraft days when they were most likely responsible for match-fixing scandal that almost ruined Korean eSports for good. Cho Cute Nam and his friends were in Cj team at the time which had significant numbers of players involved in this shenanigan most notably Ma “savior” Jae Yoon. This scandal evidently leads to the disbanding of Air Force eSports team that symbolically represented the gaming community in Korea gaining acceptance in the “adult’s world”.

Sorry I’m not buying this. Korean coaches can be extremely strict and brutally honest, but I highly doubt Max was so abusive that his players were terrified of him. Wouldn’t be surprised if he comes out with some more details against Griffin about this ban.
“That was motherless play.”, “You played like fucking shit” (Throwing his notes, and hitting chair hard)
= Got banned from league
= same as one who did scam under-age player for bull shit contracts
Good job Riot 🙁
Ofc he never get abused he is tarzan ffs
