SF IV = SF 4
Daigo is one of the top 4 fighting game players in the fgc no doubt. truly a legend
It’s odd that Daigo talks about a gap between SF2 and SFIV, but is certainly *best* known for EVO moment #37 which happened during a SFIII Grand Final. Although when EVO was playing SFIII, they sure weren’t *paying* for SFIII. o.O I’m really loving this lecture series by the way, thank you so much for doing this! 😀
One of the most motivating FGC Channels out there. Daigos insight of how his life was made me understand its never over, especially when you have a passion in life.
This will be my new Anime series to watch.thank you
As flawed as SF4 was, it really was THE BIGGEST turning point in the history of the FGC.
We probably wouldn’t be ” E-sports ” if it wasn’t for that game.
Really interesting.
I really appreciate your effort in translating this video! These videos has helped me in easing my mind about uncertantiness in my future. I really hope that you’ll find the time and effort to upload the full one. Cheers!
This is why SFIV is the most important game to shape the fighting game landscape today
Daigo, Hard to work like normal people, become a legend in FGC
The ad of this video I got is for doom eternal.
You have to thank the US for not giving up on the fighting games scene. Those early 2009 foundation made by event organizers who lost money but did it for the love of the game shape the FGC for what it is today. Otherwise, we would still be known as POVERTY Esports.
I can relate, especially the hopelessness of looking into your future and feel that you cant even plan your next move because of how uncertain and fragile your life is.
He really felt trapped for a while… Until SFIV came out.
and here i thought it was because Infiltration got banned and the scene was wide open . Guess i was wrong.
This is the kind of the thing you hear as a footnote in articles, or videos covering his career, but you when you hear him talk about it himself, you really understand the length of that difficult road.
Damn, didn’t know Daigo went through all of these hard times when it came to his career choice. Very interesting.
I keep watching cos I know it ends happily.

Thank you for these videos
