Honda NC700X DCT ABS is just a big scooter.
I have the 2015 NC700XD. Auto shifting is seamless. It seems that whenever this bike is mentioned, gear-biased ensues. I’m ok with that, I don’t have to constantly shift in traffic during my commute.
i don’t think the type of rider that would want an automatic would be giving it too much gas (throttling up and down a lot), it’s more for learners and more laid back riders like me
I’d love to keep my limited attention (as a new rider/driver) on the road and not on what gear am i, proper clutch technique and how to change gears and when, and stalling it and having it fly out from under me…you get the point
It would also help get more women to ride bikes
I read a review about the integra, that features the same transmission technology, in drive mode all works fine if you take care of not giving too much gas, else the gears will start changing going up and down very fast when you throttle up/down. going into sport mode helps, but sequential was the one to go for if you kept an eye on the rev limiter.
I don’t understand why is DCT so bad? There is still gear changing, only You don’t need to release the throttle, grab the clutch, change the gear, release the clutch and push the throttle… Why is this so much better then pressing the button?
could you care to expand on why the honda’s automatic gearbox is “not there yet” ? thanx
Personally, I’d go with the Versys. The BMW costs too much, the Suzuki looks too “Mad-Maxish” and the Honda well, I have no love for Honda anymore, but that’s another story dealing with another bike, but from there on..anything that has a “wing” logo, nope!
