A typical treatment for incorrectly positioned teeth (malocclusion) takes about 1 to 3 years to complete, with braces being altered slightly every 4 to 10 weeks by the specialists called orthodontists.

This video is a vlog of my orthodontist shaving my teeth, which is medically called “incisal edge contouring” or “incisal edge re-contouring.” The edges of my teeth had natural ridges on them, especially my lower teeth because I had a severe underbite (Class III malocclusion).

This “shaving” process made the edges of my upper and lower arches much smoother, and more cosmetically appealing. I am very happy with the results of my incisal edge contouring! Many thanks to Dr. Danny Bass for helping me to achieve my perfect smile.
