Bad breath, also known as halitosis, is a symptom in which a noticeably unpleasant breath odour is present.
It can result in anxiety among those affected. It is also associated with depression and symptoms of obsessive compulsive disorder.

Estimated rates of bad breath vary from 6% to 50% of the population.
Concern about bad breath is the third most common reason people seek dental care, after tooth decay and gum disease.

Scientists have long thought that smelling one’s own breath odor is often difficult due to acclimatization,
although many people with bad breath are able to detect it in others.
Research has suggested that self-evaluation of halitosis is not easy because of preconceived notions of how bad we think it should be.
Some people assume that they have bad breath because of bad taste (metallic, sour, fecal, etc.),
however bad taste is considered a poor indicator.

My gums bleed when I floss sometimes, and some areas are more prone to bleeding than others. Should I try to clean those areas more thoroughly?

Help, my gums bleed because my
deciduous teeth are falling out and my new teeth is growing and while my
deciduous teeth is falling and I am talking to my family and I bite on it and the
deciduous teeth pressed the new teeth that are growing and It’s so painful, after that day my gum starts to bleeds and today morning (the
deciduous teeth is still there) and I am brushing my teeth then I saw that my teeth had some sticky black colour stuff and It’s like slime, then I tried to get that thing out and I found that the slime thing is my blood so I came to here to ask.
